Music is ONE of the simplest forms of learning. Often we are taught entire sermons through just one song.

I am comforted, strengthened and inspired through music.

I love music, and want to share my testimony through the music that inspires me.

MORE HOLINESS GIVE ME

Week 1: MORE HOLINESS GIVE ME
This weeks pick has been in my mind for several months now.
What a beautiful plea to Heavenly Father for the things that we all need.

1. More holiness give me,   
More strivings within,
More patience in suff’ring,
More sorrow for sin,
More faith in my Savior,
More sense of his care,
More joy in his service,
More purpose in prayer.

2. More gratitude give me,
More trust in the Lord,
More pride in his glory,
More hope in his word,
More tears for his sorrows,
More pain at his grief,
More meekness in trial,
More praise for relief.

3. More purity give me,
More strength to o’ercome,
More freedom from earth-stains,
More longing for home.
More fit for the kingdom,
More used would I be,
More blessed and holy—
More, Savior, like thee.

3 Nephi 12:48 Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect.

3 Nephi 27:27 And know ye that ye shall be judges of this people, according to the judgment which I shall give unto you, which shall be just. Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as I am.

TO BE PERFECT LIKE CHRIST? WHAT?
That is  something that seems unobtainable.
Something so hard to do. WHO CAN BE PERFECT?
I know I can't be. All I have to do is have wake up  and my whole perfection thing is blown.
It doesn't take much to feel discouraged. That is why I like to focus on things that help me not feel so hopeless. I have put in bold the words and phrases that speak to me. It is actually hard to pick just a few. But I have a purpose.

To be holy (like the Savior) I need to have faith and more sense of His care. This gives me Gratitude when I have this basic understanding of who I am. It helps me to trust and have hope. I truely can achieve holiness, and purity, HE LOVES ME I can know this. I will then believe that he will give me strength to o'ercome the trials that I face. I can feel when something is wrong and have freedom from earth's stains. When I can feel his love, and know that he is there I can achieve more easily the command to be perfect like Christ, more used will I be. I can serve Him, because I know him.
I will have strivings and desire to be like Him, to know Him more, to help others around me feel His love for them.  I can be more pure, I can be more meek, I will have joy in His service. These thing I believe for me will fall into place. Because knowing the Savior's love for me will help me to be holy. I do long for home with Him. I want to become like him.  First, we must all know his love for us and believe in him.

This song makes my heart stir, it makes me feel the desire to be closer to my Savior.
I love Him, and can be like him by living so I can be close to him, so I can feel that HE LOVES ME!
